Managing Corporate Identities with IGA and PAM

Managing digital identities in a modern organization involves addressing two distinct yet closely connected challenges: governing who has access to what, and protecting highly privileged accounts that, if compromised, can create critical entry points into the IT infrastructure.

Cybersecurity

These challenges are addressed by IGA and PAM solutions, both part of S2E's cybersecurity portfolio.

IGA (Identity Governance and Administration) automates user provisioning and deprovisioning processes, manages permissions based on roles, and keeps governance aligned with corporate policies and compliance requirements. Through a platform such as One Identity Manager, organizations gain real-time visibility into access rights, reduce the risk of unauthorized access, and simplify audit reporting.

PAM (Privileged Account Management) focuses on a different yet complementary area: administrative accounts and privileged users, which have long been among the primary targets of cyberattacks. One Identity Safeguard enables organizations to enforce the principle of least privilege, automatically rotate credentials after each use, monitor administrative sessions, and reduce the overall attack surface. This provides an essential layer of protection in a landscape where more than 95% of organizations rely on Active Directory as their primary authentication mechanism, making it a frequent target for attacks such as Pass-the-Hash.

Adopting both solutions as part of an integrated approach allows organizations to build a comprehensive identity security strategy. Access governance and privileged access protection reinforce one another, reducing both internal and external security risks.
