It does not exploit technical vulnerabilities, attempt to breach a firewall or install malware. It exploits trust. A CEO deepfake video, a domain that mimics the company's own, a coordinated campaign of fake social media profiles: attacks that do not pass through the IT perimeter but target reputation, customers and revenue. The forecast is clear: by 2028, 50% of enterprises will invest in this type of solution, compared with less than 5% today. Total spending in the sector is estimated at more than $30 billion. In this scenario, teaching employees how to recognise suspicious emails is of limited value when AI-generated content contains no grammatical errors, shows no obvious warning signs and accurately replicates the tone and style of corporate communications.
